Dr. Perry becomes Maggie’s List 1st endorsed candidate of the 2019-2020 cycle
Washington,D.C. — Maggie’s List, a federal political action committee (PAC) dedicated to electing fiscally conservative women to federal office and statewide executive office, is proud to announce the endorsement of Dr. Joan Perry for North Carolina’s 3rd Congressional District.
As the mom of five boys and a practicing pediatrician, Dr.Joan Perry has never run for office until now. Instead, Dr. Joan Perry has dedicated her life to serving and improving the lives of those in her community. She has helped address issues impacting her community ranging from education and literacy to nutritional and physical well-being. Dr. Perry worked on the UNC Board of Governors, Governor Pat McCrory’s Health and Human Services transition team, and was appointed to the North Carolina Day Care Commission by Governor JimMartin. Dr. Perry is no stranger to tackling issues that impact the citizens of the Tarheel State directly.

Joan is involved in multiple local community groups. She is very active in her church; she has taught Bible studies, participated in women’s ministries and has served as a marriage mentor for young couples. Out of all of Joan’s accomplishments, she is most proud of being a mother to five boys.
“We need conservative women in Congress to stand up for limited government, particularly now that our ideas are under assault by an extreme agenda that would destroy our economy, drastically increase the power of the federal government, and threaten the freedoms that made our country into the envy of the world,” states Maggie’sList endorsed candidate, Dr. Joan Perry.“I’m honored to stand with Maggie’sList to defeat those ideas, so the next generation of Americans can flourish in a free market that rewards ingenuity and hard work."
