Maggie’s List Statement Honoring International Women’s Day

Washington, D.C. - Maggie’s List, a leading federal political action committee (PAC) dedicated to electing conservative women to office, today released the following statement celebrating International Women’s Day 2022:

“This year on International Women’s Day, we continue to celebrate the record number of women serving in the 117th Congress and are focused on helping to elect even more conservative women to federal office in the upcoming 2022 election cycle,” said Sandra Mortham, Maggie’s List Chairman. “Utilizing our vast network of grassroots activists across the country, we are proud to support our endorsed candidates as they work tirelessly to champion the conservative principles that keep our country safe, free and prosperous.”

Maggie’s List has seen a dramatic rise in the number of conservative women running for office during the last several election cycles. In light of the #MeToo movement, women’s activism is more important than ever.

According to the Center for American Women and Politics (CAWP), women comprise more than 56% of all voters, but less than 27% of our representation. Maggie’s List’s mission is to equalize those numbers and empower women to take a stand and run for what they believe in.
